Aurora

Aurora

An Italian first

It was 1919, the year the treaty of Versailles was signed. Italy, marked by a post-war crisis, bubbled with great hopes for recovery. In Torino, the first steps down a long road were taken with the birth of Aurora and the creation of the first true Italian fountain. A textile merchant saw the crystallization of a dream he had long meditated and planned. Now the Aurora trademark represents designs and materials which are tangible examples of the most refined pens made in Italy.

  • Aurora Duo Carte Fountain Pen

    A resurrection

Aurora has just brought back the 1960s Duo Carte fountain pen in two stunning finishes. This was the pen your grandfather and grandmother used with pride. Think tail fins, broad boulevards, smooth satin and sharp angles; all essential elements in revolutionary new products of the 60s. The original pen design remains, but is now crafted from modern, durable materials. Select black and silver tones; or red with gold colored trim. The hooded, steel, medium point nib delivers ink from a bottle or cartridges. Your Duo Carte arrives in a companion gift box you will be proud to display, along with a bottle of black, ink converter and two cartridges.

  • Aurora Optima

    Hall of fame star

Based upon a 1930s design, the Aurora Optima has always struck our fancy. But the new finishes are amazing. Neroperla is the rookie entrant into this hall of fame. Transparent and iridescent colors of marbled Auroloid combine with silver colored trim to make it the true pearl of the line. Lovely red and blue models are offered with the same trim featuring intricate etching and a classic design. Fountain pens are piston fill and feature Aurora's respected 14k gold nib. Rollerballs refill with excellent options and the twist-top ballpoints refill with high quality, oil-based, gel, or liquid inks in many different colors

  • Aurora Ipsilon

    A sleek Italian favorite

The sleek Aurora Ipsilon has been with Colorado Pen since our beginning. There is a good reason – it is a consistent best seller, year after year. Since 1930, Aurora has made subtle changes to the Ipsilon, offering new finishes and trim packages. But the basic design has remained the same. Recently, Aurora added a forest green model to complement the red, yellow and black and chrome fountain pens, rollerballs and ballpoints. The ballpoint is a rare 'one finger' pushdown for deployment and can be filled with any Parker-Style refill in more than ten colors and several ink choices. Fountain pens feature a steel nib plated with either gold or silver to match the pen's trim.

  • Aurora Ipsilon Satin

    A Satin doll

The Ipsilon Satin collection has been so popular, that Aurora has added a new Satin black or blue resin fountain pen, rollerball and ballpoint, all trimmed with rose gold. A stunning combination for this value-oriented pen. This new Ipsilon Satin, joins the popular orange and green trimmed in chrome and unique burgundy trimmed in gold.

  • Aurora Ballpoints

Aurora Ipsilon ballpoint pens are a one-piece click- to-deploy design. All other Aurora ballpoints are a twist-the-top to deploy the point. The Aurora ballpoint pen will accept an extremely broad selection of ballpoint refill technologies: standard ballpoint ink, GEL ballpoint ink, Liquid ballpoint ink as well as the Easy Flow technology from Schmidt. These ballpoint ink choices come in as many as eight colors.
  • Aurora Fountain Pens

Aurora fountain pens are made in Florence, Italy. Craftsmen with decades of experience form the highest quality materials into treasured writing instruments. Aurora fountain pens are sold in extra fine, fine, medium and broad nibs. Aurora offers fountain pens in both steel and gold nibs. All Aurora fountain pens will accept cartridges or can be used with a converter and bottled ink. A few rare collector pens are bottled ink only.
  • Aurora Rollerballs

Aurora rollerball pens feature a separate cap and body design. Your Aurora rollerball pen will also accept spring-loaded fineliners, standard fineliners as well as a broad selection of Schmidt and Monteverde rollerball refills. Some refills come in as many as eight color choices.
