The new Medieval Colonnette pen collection from The Metropolitan Museum of Art features a design from a miniature column made in Cologne, Germany around 1175-1200. Adorned with intricate champlevé enamel, copper alloy and gilt, these original columns were found in reliquary shrines that decorated the interiors of Cologne churches. All models are accented with gently brushed gold plating and a solid blue top. Fountain pens feature a gold plated, bi-color steel nib in medium point and refill with standard ink cartridges or the included converter and your bottled ink. Rollerballs and twist ballpoints utilize standard-sized refills available from assorted manufacturers in various point sizes and a wealth of colors.
