1. Let's determine which refill you need. You have a favorite pen. You don't see the 'brand' of the pen in our list. What do we do? Many pens exist in the world that really aren't a known brand name or may have just had the 'brand' placed on your pen for a special production run. We get asked everyday for brand X refills or refills to fit a brand Y pen. Sometimes even well known brands such as Eddie Bauer sell quite nice pens but then don't support the pen with refills. Scroll your mouse over the 'Pen Refills' category on top menu to 'Shop the most common pen refills' by selecting the pen refill or pen category of interest. 2. Here is the good news. Once we can determine whether you have a fountain pen, rollerball, ballpoint or multi-pen we can often find a refill to fit your pen. 3. Your pen has a fountain pen nib. If you have a fountain pen which you don't see on our list of brands then 95% of the time it will take our standard international cartridge. We offer Pelikan 1 1/2" ink cartridges in eight different colors.

4. How do I know If I have a rollerball or a ballpoint? If you have a rollerball pen you generally must remove the cap of the pen to expose the writing tip. Just like a fountain pen it has a separate cap. So, if you must remove your pen's cap to write, then you more than likely have a rollerball refill in your pen. The most commonly used rollerball refill shape looks like this:
5. Does your pen require that you to twist or click the pen to begin to write? Then you have a ballpoint or multi-pen. The most common ballpoint refills are the 4 1/2" Cross ballpoint refill and the 3 7/8" standard 'Parker' style' ballpoint refill. Monteverde for Cross liquid ballpoint refill

6. If you have a multi-pen. 99% of multi-pens will use the Monteverde mini soft-roll ballpoint refill.  | ||||||||||||
