The “J” was Esterbrook’s sleek and suave, classic pocket pen that appealed to the practicality of the times. The ‘R’ was appended to signify ‘J revisited’. It was a perfect pen for both men and women, and we think it still is today. Esterbrook’s revival of this 1940’sand 50’s pen has all the hallmarks of its predecessor, with a few new bells and whistles. The Pocket Pen is about 85% the size of a typical fountain pen. Smaller, not small. Kind of, ‘Junior’ in size.
The new ‘JR’ is stylish and refined without being too fancy. With a refined design, that isn’t fussy, it is compact in size, so you can always have one in your jeans or shirt pocket, purse, or briefcase. It can be with you on the go, wherever you go.
The new version is offered in two colors: Carmine Red and Capri Blue. The bodies are turned acrylic resin. Carmine’s trim shines bright in Silver and Capri gleams in Gold. The cap screws on.
The fountain pen is available in extra fine, fine, medium, and broad. The pen fills with either cartridge or the included converter. And since Esterbrook hopes you’ll hold onto it forever, both the German JoWo nib and the top of the pen have been engraved with the Esterbrook Eternity symbol. It’s Esterbrook’s new take on the small, but mighty pocket pen.
