The eighth generation of original founder Kaspar Faber was inspired by selected writing instruments produced by his ancestors. Anton-Wolfgang Graf von Faber-Castell saw it as a personal challenge to rediscover these pens and pencils of a past age. He brought them to up to date with the use of modern technology and the results are the fascinating writing instruments shown here.
Graf von Faber-Castell is the premium branch of this historic German company. Only the finest materials and hours of hand labor are used to produce these fountain pens, rollerballs and ballpoints. The Classic Platinum collection is the best of the best. Platinum plating covers each pen, more durable than silver and never oxidizes. Fountain pen 18k gold nibs are installed by hand. Screw on caps and grips are smooth and fluted, but the barrels are finely ribbed. Treat yourself or someone special to a Graf von Faber-Castell.
The Graf von Faber-Castell Guilloche Cisele ballpoints, rollerballs and fountain pens feature hour after hour of hand-crafting. Resin barrels are intricately etched in a delicate herringbone pattern. Then they are hand-lacquered and repeatedly polished resulting in a unique surface texture. Each pen is an individual sample of the artisan's work who produced it. Rhodium plating on caps and trim provide a shiny contrast to the remarkable barrel.
