Retro 1951 Tornado rollerball pens use a capless rollerball refill, just like the pen had when originally purchased. The Schmidt P8126 refill, our searchable item number is R4612, fits perfectly and writes just like the original Retro refill; it is the original as Schmidt makes the Retro branded refills.
Retro designs their pens to accept a ‘Parker-Style’ ballpoint. Options abound!
You can also refill your Tornado with any Parker-style ballpoint refill in three ink types and ten different colors, all from a large range of manufacturers. Select from standard ballpoint ink, liquid ink or gel ink. You can choose from fine, medium or broad points.
Retro 1951 fountain pens accept any brand of standard international-sized ink cartridges. Colorado Pen offers a wide range of ink colors in these cartridges. You may opt to use the ink converter that came with your Retro 1951 fountain pen. Then you can choose from any brand of bottled ink, including the huge Colorado Pen bottle, specially formulated to clean as you write.
Have a Retro Hexomatic pen and pencil? We’ve got supplies for those as well as any Retro pencils, multi-pens or desk sets. For Retro Elite Tornado ballpoints, use a Monteverde mini ballpoint refill B4604. We also offer note pad replacements for your Traveler. If you need a refill for your Retro 1951 Desk Set, we have replacements for all the versions. You may want to call as there are three different refills that might work.
Retro 1951 fountain pens can be refilled with standard international-sized ink cartridges or with an ink converter and any brand of bottled ink.
Colorado Pen offers international-sized ink cartridges in 12 different colors. This specially formulated ink helps keep your Retro fountain pen writing smoothly.
If you need an ink converter, that is offered below. Then choose a bottle or two if ink from our large selection. Colorado Pen ink arrives in a huge 90ml bottle. Pelikan offers standard ink or its premium Edelstein ink in nine vibrant colors. Waterman bottled ink is offered in all the favorite colors.
Current models of Retro 1951 mechanical pencils use 1.15mm lead. We have that as well as erasers. Some older models of pencils with engraving on the nose cone will fit .9mm lead.
Retro Hexomatic pencils fit .7mm lead and use the small erasers shown below.
If you have the Retro Twin Pen, it fits 2-5/8" mini ballpoint refills. We offer Monteverde liquid ink mini ballpoints.
